Post GW2 worth it still?
Hi all, I have been without a computer connection at my home for a few months. (new job, new city, new home, etc..) haven't been playing anything much lately.

Looks like there is a active interest in GW2, or at least was. Whats the state of the game, still active?

Is it worth joining now, or am I just going to be a solo player till I hit level cap. Then will i just be too far behind a gear curve to have fun?

Are all classes balanced? I always pick a cool in theory class only to find out it blows come high levels. (Magus anyone...) I am looking at the messer or an engineer. Both i see as being borderline dangerous to get interested in from a historical perspective.

Anything else I should know?

There was nothing wrong with the Magus I thought it was cool anyways :)

GW2 still seems to be doing well.. it has admittedly slowed down slightly, i'm guessing due to the holidays. But there's still generally 5-6 peeps on on a slow night still have seen up to 14 on last weekend.

Mesmer is uber.. Engineer seems like it could be :)

Gw 2 is worth it if your thinking of just picking up a new game. The community that is here, IM sure you know more than me is worth it. Even with my only lv 60 not a ton of time played, ive had my $60 worth.

It beats buying a console game that has limits? Least you can keep playing with the group and have some fun.

If you decide to join, I can make you some nice jewelery and fund you.

I agree it was always cool, from a design standpoint, but its damage/functionality was worthless compared to what it was supposed to do.

You will need to refresh over and over it won't be full for long at those times if you just keep refreshing it will drop for a few minutes every so often. Just close the world select and reopen the world select to refresh.

Woke up at 3:45AM CST (not on purpose) and tried transfer, all but 7 servers full.

Tried again at 5:30AM was able to transfer. By the time the game logged me out and back in again for the transfer, it was full again. But I did successfully transfer.

Seems odd the servers are all full at that time, they must be using something other than real time population data to determine full or not. But who knows. Now I just need to get Nstkr transferred. He tried at 5:45 this am, no go.

Oh and Powin, just opening and closing the server select menu did not appear to refresh anything. If I logged out and back in, it seemed to change by one or 2 servers going from full to high. Who knows though.

It does for me and everyone else meh. The problem is that even on the refresh the server stats will most likely be the same you just have to hope for the random moment that its not full. But glad you got over. Also the Asian crowd has to play the US servers so that will help with why some of the servers are full all the time. :(
