Post Re: Speedtest/Pingtest
uhh. Ok I wasn't expecting those responses lol. I do run a server but so do like 2 other of my friends. And they have the same net speeds I do hell most of my friend's do. But I only pay $60 a month. They prefer you not to run a server but only if I use massive massive amounts of upload will they complain.

It has ventrilo and some basic file sharing for when I am not at home. And no I don't run a porn network rofl. And I can host website's sort of I just have to port redirect for them so its just for fun and testing really. I am also about to have a cisco 2600 router in my house mainly to bone up on acl's and QoS since you can buy a 2600 used for around $100 and most house hold routers cost that and can't do near what a 2600 cisco can. But I am also working on my CCNA and CCNP so. Hell my friend that is ccna certed has 2 2600's in his house. Hell at his job they have a router alone that cost 5 million dollars its a router that can move massive amounts of traffic. He works at a place we know as EDS that is now called HP, cause Hp bought them out.

But they have the contract for continental airlines and all the sites like travelocity and all of them since they have to be on the same network for reason's I have no idea why but they have to be linked with all the airlines so there is massive amounts of traffic from this place. Also the CIA and FBI blah blah and so on have alot of servers and datastuff at one of their sites hell just to get in the building of the site he works at you walk into a room after scanning your badge and get weighed and laser scanned for something I forgot what that scans think for certain scents like bomb oders and get locked in the room if you weigh more or less then what is allowed for you or on the way out you get reweighed incase you left something or stole something IE a bomb or stole a router or something lol that is what the system assumes so you have to weight for security to ask you and then let you out lol he did that once he left his backpack on his desk before he left and got locked in rofl. At the one site with all the 3 letter government peeps you have to get weighed eye scanned fingerprint and the laser thingy before you can pass through.

I actually hope after this school year I can get a job there lol. Its a good start place. My friend was telling me about how the airport in thailand or one of the small countries near there went down like 2 weeks ago network wise also means that nothing goes on in that airport till its back up lol and the number that they had in the system to call wasn't up to date so when he called it, it was a sex line so he put it on speakerphone and they all got a laugh then transferred to the next guy that can solve the issue and they alrdy knew it was a bad # lol.

Hell airmoros I think has the same speeds I do but even higher upload.

And you can't do paragraph spaces. The forums won't let you do spaces before a letter on the left rofl. Unless there is a bbcode or something you have to use.

Also did you mean megbytes or megbits? :P there is a difference. Those speeds are bits so if you divide 32 by 8 that is what I do in bytes. Mb/s = Megabits per second MB/s is Megabytes per second. Only reason I am asking is cause if you thought bytes then I can see why you freaked lol. But I mean when ISP's can have 92Tb/s Connection's between switches and routers that can move millions and millions of bits worth of traffic in a single router 32 Mb/s is very very very small. I guess since I have messed with speeds up to 10Gb/s I am spoiled with speed. Even my 32Mb/s is too slow for me sometimes rofl. :)
