Post Good Keyboard + Mouse Combo
Hi all,

I'm looking for a good keyboard / mouse combo to use since Aion restricts my use of Synergy. I picked up the new Logitech MK700 combo--but I get constant interference on the mouse and constant dropouts. It's a royal pain. I even turned of 2.4ghz wireless in my house and the dropouts, while better, are still happening relatively frequently.

I plugged in Heather's keyboard + mouse combo from a few years ago (2006). It's one of the ones with an infrared receiver. it works GREAT.

Does anyone:

1) Have any advice as to what else I might try to get my current combo working?
2) Have a suggestion where I might find an infrared keyboard / mouse combo? Logitech no longer lists any on their website.

I use the g15 keyboard and g9x mouse, both are wired, So not choices for you if you're looking for a wireless solution.

The G7 was a great mouse when I used it so that might be what you're looking for.

I'm considering going that route. It is for my dedicated GAMING box after all.

I personally think Wired is the way to go.

Unless you have something that makes it so you absolutely have to have wireless go Wired.

I have a G15 Second generation keyboard, I do love it and I don't even use it to it's fullest.

The G19 is nice looking, but not worth the 200 bucks it's still going for.

So I took mine back today and went with the Logitech MX5500 Revolution which is a bluetooth wireless set up. So far everything is working flawlessly. I thought about going wired--but I've been wireless for so long I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

It's all in the location. I switched to the Logitech MX3200 wireless combo (my old keys were too resistant and tended to stick occasionally), and I have had no trouble whatsoever. My usb receiver is plugged into my monitor, however, as opposed to my tower, sitting on the floor. I liked the G11 a lot when I was looking, but I just can't bring myself to go back to cords. I move around a lot, and will occasionally sit with my feet on the desk and the keyboard in my lap. I definitely need the mobility of a cordless. I am thinking Nalty's bad set was a fluke, or perhaps his receiver was just too close to our AirPort router...
